Do you actually do real art, or just apply horrible Photoshop effects to pictures you steal from news pages?
I'm all for making political statements, but good grief, stealing images and turning them purple is neither a political statement, nor your original work, nor art. Any monkey with Photoshop can do that.
Heck, maybe it even violates DA rules... I mean, you're supposed to post YOUR work, right? This isn't some "slap random junk up here" photo album site. It's an ART COMMUNITY.

to me, it is my art. today i am a monkey. much better than any self-righteous "artiste"...
altering the DNA of an image, a part of an image, a color, a molecule or pixel of a color or shape or gesture or etc is the way "art" is done.
all art is about some form of appropriation. some is subtle...alot isn't. like mixing lou reed's wildside into tribe called quest hip hop.
if you don't like it, fine.
the art in some cases is in the effect, not the work. the flash of light to the frontal lobe or reptilian backbrain...not the actual pigment and canvas, or photo of the pigment and canvas or the hypermanipulated image whose eidos-dna has been totally severed from it's parent...are what matters. sometimes.
if you think this is some "slap random junk up here" ... it isn't.
it's about politics. deviant art is about idea exchange, even if it appears contrived or boring. art isn't always about AESTHETICS.
and if you were a little more wiley, you'd notice the subtle suggestions and layers that may subjectively jump out for any viewer. these lie not just in the "art" or anti-srt or post-art or trans-piece-of-"art" ... but in the description and the title.
please don't fall off that high horse.
please review what you think ART is and what a COMMUNITY is.
i assume you scoff at duchamp and cage.
art is never less than theory. if the experience doesn't work for you, is it always the "art" that is at fault? or the perciever, the phenomenological background out of which you are still simmering, amniotically-like...

ROFL. Sure, tell yourself that. But what you've done is to take work that belongs to someone else - the people who've taken those photos - and slap some color on it, and now you're calling it your art, your statement, your politics. At the very least you need to be giving credit to the people who took the original picture - since you didn't. All you did was add an effect. That violates copyright laws, by the way.
